All3Media America’s Lipstone lands at Propagate

Former All3Media America boss Greg Lipstone has joined Lore producer Propagate Content as president.

The exec is to work alongside founder and co-CEO Howard T. Owens and chairman and co-CEO Ben Silverman.

Lipstone departed Undercover Boss producer All3Media America in January after just over two years as CEO.

Prior to joining the Liberty Global and Discovery-backed group, he was an unscripted TV agent at William Morris Agency (WMA) and ICM Partners for 30 years.

Propagate was founded in 2015 by former Nat Geo president Owens in partnership with A+E Networks. Silverman, who worked with Owens at his previous Reveille venture, joined Propagate as co-CEO in 2016.

Owens, Silverman and Lipstone also worked together at WMA in the 1990s.

Propagate Content has around 17 series in production, including The CW’s Charmed reboot, a second series of Amazon’s Lore, and CBS’ straight-to-series drama Blood and Treasure.

The business, which is said to have close to 40 projects in development, is to expand in the next year with outposts in Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and India.

Silverman and Owens said in a statement: “Greg’s successful career as a packaging agent combined with his more recent experience on the production side, makes him an ideal executive to oversee Propagate’s day-to-day operations.

“As we look to expand our global production imprint and continue to launch new creative ventures, his relationships, creative instincts, business acumen and understanding of international markets will make him a huge asset.”

Lipstone added: “I am thrilled to be reunited with Ben and Howard, with whom I worked at William Morris many years ago, and to join them in this exciting and fast-growing company. In just a few short years their pioneering approach to media and technology has positioned Propagate to become one of the top global providers of premium content for all platforms around the world.”
