Hulu lands US rights to Federation’s Bad Banks

Hulu has acquired the US streaming rights to Bad Banks, Federation Entertainment’s European thriller series set in the ruthless world of international finance and stock market.

Season one of the series is now available to stream on the platform. In North America Bad Banks has also been sold to Kino Lorber for Home Entertainment rights in the US and Canada.

In Europe, the series has also been recently acquired by RTL Luxembourg and by NPO in the Netherlands.

Prior to that the series had also been sold to HBO Europe for all territories in Central Europe and Scandinavia and to Walter Presents.

The series was written by Oliver Kienle (Stronger Than Blood, Four Hands), and directed by Christian Schwochow (Paula, NSU German History X).

Federation Entertainment holds world rights for the series outside of first windows in France and Germany.

The series is produced by Letterbox Filmproduktion (Germany) and Iris Production (Luxembourg) with the participation of ZDF and ARTE. A second season of six new episodes is currently in pre-production following the series’ broadast on ZDF and Arte France in March 2018.
