Fox Networks Groups restructures African team

Fox Networks Group (FNG) Europe and Africa has unveiled a new executive team structure for its Africa division, which currently operates eight PayTV channel brands including National Geographic, FOX, FOX Sports and Baby TV.

As part of the shake-up, Vasilis Iliopoulos (left) will expand his role to become SVP for FNG Africa, alongside his existing role as general manager, FNG Greece. Evert van der Veer (below), meanwhile, has been appointed as general manager, FNG Africa.

Going forward, Iliopoulos will focus on the accelerated expansion of Fox Sports and local content production, linear/non-linear branded entertainment and National Geographic Partners across East, West and Southern Africa.

Van der Veer joins from iFlix, where he was responsible for content operations, content acquisition and content marketing. Prior to this, he worked at Viacom International Media Networks Africa, on the Comedy Central and BET brands.
