Proper TV rejigs senior team

Canada’s Proper Television has made a number of changes to its senior team after Boat Rocker acquired the company last September.

Despite the acquisition, Proper will continue to operate as a separate entity from its parent company.

The new changes will see Allison Grace, who joined the company in 2014, now become vice president of content.

In addition, senior line producer Jackie Frank has been upped to director of production and Mike Armitage will return to the company from Banger Films as director of development.

Grace has formerly worked with HGTV, the Food Network and Slice as a production executive.

“It’s been a year of change at Proper, but with the continued guidance and support of our parent company Boat Rocker Media, we’re entering into our most productive period ever,” said co-presidents Cathie James and Lesia Capone in a statement.

Boat Rocker has had a busy few months of acquisitions, having also acquired Fremantle’s Kids & Family Entertainment division this January.
