Apple heads for Home with original docuseries

Tim CookApple has gone straight-to-series on a ten-part docuseries about boundary-pushing home builds.

Home will take viewers into some of the world’s most imaginative homes and look at the characters behind the people that built them.

Matt Tyrnauer and Corey Reeser’s Altimeter Films is coproducing with Time Inc. Productions, Media Weaver Entertainment and musicals director Matthew Weaver. Joe Poulin, CEO of real estate business Luxury Retreats, is among the executive producers.

Home’s commission marks the first doc series Apple’s new worldwide video team has ordered. To this point, it has been focusing on dramas, with two from actor Reese Witherspoon on the slate, along with a Steven Spielberg limited series and a Ronald D. Moore sci-fi show.

Apple is currently releasing its exclusive content through the Apple Music streaming service, though it’s unclear if this is where its growing suite of original shows will sit.
