800px-Alec_BaldwinABC is set to go straight-to-series with a new Alec Baldwin family comedy, co-created and executive produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris and Julie Bean.

The comedy will be produced by ABC Studios, where Baldwin, Barris and Bean are all under overall deals.

Barris and Bean will act as showrunners and writers for the yet-to-be-named title which follows a dysfunctional family including the family head, a fading TV star. The star moves in with his progressive daughter, her girlfriend and their child.

It is not yet clear whether Baldwin will star in the production.

Baldwin has had a first-look deal with ABC since August to develop scripted and unscripted projects through his company El Dorado Pictures.

Barris is the creator of Black-ish, one of the most revered comedies of the year which has recently been nominated for a Golden Globe. He is also currently working on the follow-up series Grown-ish, where Bean acts as head writer.
