London-based distribution company TCB Media Rights has closed a representation deal with Sydney’s Essential Media and Entertainment for 55 hours of factual-entertainment programming.
The volume deal was brokered by Kate Llewellyn-Jones, managing director of TCB (pictured), and Chris Hilton, CEO and executive producer at Essential.
Top Essential titles include Gourmet Farmer and #Shelfie with Dan Hong. This brings TCB’s number of new hours set to launch at MIPCOM to more than 250.
Llewellyn-Jones said: “The Essential catalogue dovetails beautifully with TCB’s existing portfolio, adding a new and fresh seam of quality factual entertainment to our slate.
“We see this deal as a great opportunity to forge ties that bind with one of Australia’s most prolific and talented production companies.”
The distributor will head to Cannes with 36 new shows, including easyJet: Inside the Cockpit and Wartime Crime.
