Vice creates two exec roles amid UK expansion

Vice has created two executive level roles after the launch of its UK studios as it deepens its focus on creating original programming globally.

Bree Horn ViceBree Horn (pictured) and Yonni Usiskin have been upped to senior vice president of production UK and head of programming for Viceland UK, respectively.

Horn will look to ensure synergy between Vice UK’s TV and digital divisions. She will be working across Vice Studios, which launched earlier this year, and the Vice Digital, i-D and commercial teams to produce short-form, long-form and feature length content for in-house and third party output.

She will report to Matt O’Mara, CEO at Vice UK.

Prior to this, Horn acted as vice president of production, across Vice and i-D, with responsibility for production across the two brand’s digital and commercial endeavours.

Usiskin will be responsible for Viceland UK’s growing portfolio of youth-focused content. He will report to CJ Fahey, general manager of Viceland in EMEA and APAC.

He moves into the role having acted as executive producer on a number of Viceland’s flagship titles, including Hate Thy Neighbour, Needles and Pins and Big Night Out.

O’Mara said: “As viewer’s habits continue to diversify across the digital and TV landscape, we remain focused on strengthening our programming and commercial strategies across all screens.

“Yonni and Bree have both been integral to VICE UK’s successes over recent times, sharing our commitment to creating the kind of smart, compelling, and distinctive content we’ve become known for.”

This June, Vice Media received US$450 million from investment firm TPG with plans to use the funds to push into scripted programming.
