Awesomeness TV partners with Viaplay for Nordic launch

Awesomeness TV’s series will launch in the Nordic market for the first time following a deal with MTG-owned streaming service Viaplay.

Awesomeness’ Gen Z-focused youth programming includes series like: Freakish, an original produced for Hulu about a mutant invasion of a small town; Guidance, a drama about the relationship between a high school guidance counsellor and her students; and You’ve Been T@gged, a psychological thriller centred around social media.

“We are thrilled to partner with Viaplay to continue to bring our series to fans around the world,” said Zachary Slatter, head of European distribution, Awesomeness TV.

“We are excited about the demand for teen and young adult programming and are eager to explore strategic opportunities with Viaplay to better serve this demographic.”

US-based Awesomeness TV is a multi-platform media company, backed by Comcast NBCUniversal, Verizon and Hearst.

Nordic streaming service Viaplay offers films, series, live sports, kids and teen content as well Viaplay Originals content.
