CMJ teams with journalist Steve Miller on true crime series

Canada-based production company CMJ Productions has signed a development deal with veteran journalist and author Steve Miller to create and produce original true crime series.

Miller (left), author of eight books, including four true crime titles, has over 22 years as a street beat reporter, covering everything from murder and terrorism, to government malfeasance. He has served as a correspondent for The Daily Beast and People Magazine and was honoured as an Edgar Award finalist for his 2011 book, Girl, Wanted: The Chase for Sarah Pender.

Commenting on the new partnership, CMJ Productions president Judith Beauchemin said: “CMJ is thrilled to be working with Steve to leverage his unique access and distinct POV and generate exciting true crime programming. With our expertise in crime-based TV and Steve’s probing perspective, we look forward to producing compelling, addictive and one-of-a-kind series for the international marketplace.”
