Ex-Red Arrow producer joins Ananey as content chief

Omri MarcusFormer Red Arrow International development partner Omri Marcus has been named VP of content as Israeli pay TV provider Ananey Communications Group.

He will oversee programming for a slate of Israeli lifestyle channels including The Food Channel, Health Channel, The Good Life Channel and Style Channel, plus connected digital platforms.

Once dubbed ‘Israeli TV’s Wunderkind’ by a Tablet magazine, Marcus is best known internationally for developing various formats across the game show, reality, dating and factual genres for Red Arrow International, which is part of Germany-based Red Arrow Entertainment.

He was most recently CEO of Israeli-Palestinian tech company TCGP LLC, was creative director of digital publisher Electric Sheep, and has written for mainstream Israeli comedy panel shows. He also founded Comedy for a Change, an international conference on the power of comedy to drive social change.

For Ananey, the hire comes four months after Viacom International Media Networks acquired a minority stake in the business, with the option to take a controlling share in the future.
