Former Gaumont International sales VP Hana Zidek has joined Hat Trick International, TBI has learned.
Zidek left Gaumont earlier this year as the company restructured its sales team under Vanessa Shapiro, shifting its operation from LA to London, but has now joined the sales arm of UK indie producer Hat Trick.
At HTI, she has been appointed to the post of senior sales executive, reporting to director of sales Sarah Tong.
Zidek will lead sales in North America, Scandinavia, France and Russia, covering territories managed by Sarah Bickley, who is currently on maternity leave.
Prior to Narcos distributor Gaumont, Zidek was director of international content sales at A+E and sold into various European territories for Lionsgate.
“We’re delighted to welcome Hana to our sales team,” said Tong in a statement issued to TBI. “As our roster of leading formats and finished content continues to grow, Hana’s experience will be invaluable as we maximise global opportunities with our international partners.”
Hat Trick is Cannes at MIPTV this week shopping four new formats, including Channel 4 comedy gameshow Cheap Cheap Cheap, Channel 5 social experiment Rich House Poor House, aspirational reality series How to Live Mortgage Free and Lost and Found, which reunites owners with lost dogs.
