NBCU Int’l hires former Gaumont exec

Scripted-logo-460_2NBCUniversal International Studios has recruited Sam Semon. The business affairs exec recently left Gaumont, amid a restructure, and will be executive VP, business affairs for NBCUIS.

Sam-Semon-Gaumont-2013Specifically, he will work across the Heyday Television US and Working Title Television US operations, and across the wider scripted output.

Semon remains in LA in his new role. At Gaumont he was executive VP, business strategy and operations.

At NBCUIS he will report to divisional president, Michael Edelstein and executive VP, scripted programming, JoAnn Alfano.

Karen Cease, NBCUIS US, business affairs and Crystal Morales, senior VP, Business Affairs will report to Semon.

“We know that his wealth of experience and strategic vision will prove invaluable as we continue to build our international business in the US.”
