Turner and AzamTV take Boing into East Africa

Kids-logo-460_2Turner has expanded children’s channel Boing into new markets in East Africa after agreeing a deal with satellite TV provider AzamTV.

Turner-owned Boing Africa is now available for the first time in Kenya, Malawi, Uganda and Tanzania via Azam’s basic TV package.

“This new deal is totally aligned with Boing Africa’s mission to provide quality kid’s content to almost all African households at an affordable price, which makes this partnership truly symbiotic,” said Pierre Branco, vice-president and general manager of Turner France, Portugal and Africa.

“Already distributed in Zambia, the Seychelles, Nigeria and French African territories, Boing now has a footprint in East African markets which nicely complements our regional presence across Sub-Saharan Africa.”

Boing is a cartoon-based entertainment channel aimed at kids aged seven to 14 years old.
