The first-look agreement will see the US and European studios co-creating, coproducing and co-distributing programming.
Paramount will also look to take Federation’s scripted formats, which include Marseille and The Bureau, and remake them for US audiences.
Paramount TV – the television arm of Viacom-owned US studio Paramount – is behind programming such as Grease: Live, Epix’s Berlin Station, and Nickelodeon’s School of Rock.
“Through this collaboration, we are able to build upon Federation’s compelling and proven international content to create series targeted for audiences in the US,” said Paramount Television and Digital president Amy Powell, adding she would look to take “culturally relevant projects” from the French prodco worldwide.
