Channel 4 calls for Turner’s Search Party

UK broadcaster Channel 4 has acquired rights to dark US comedy Search Party and will make it available on-demand on December 26.

Channel 4 viewers will be able to exclusively access the entire series via the All 4 platform.

The show follows a ‘life-long doormat’ who becomes fixated on the disappearance of a former college goer.

“Search Party is an enthralling, cutting edge dark comedy mystery that grants a fascinating insight into the lives of self-indulgent twenty-something Brooklynites as they embark on a journey of self-discovery,” said Turner EMEA VP, media distribution, Humphrey Black. “We are incredibly proud of this show and excited to be partnering with All 4 to bring it to UK audiences.

“Search Party has found a perfectly positioned home on All 4, and by making the show available as an VOD box set, viewers can watch it how and when they want.”

Channel 4 has increased the volume of its US fare this year, acquiring rights to NBC series This is Us and partnering with Sony Pictures Television drama Electric Dreams: The World of Philip K. Dick.
