Boat Rocker promotes Traub and Pratte

Canadian producer and distributor Boat Rocker has promoted two of its senior execs.

Samantha Traub has been upped to chief operating officer and Michael Pratte to chief revenue officer.

Traub has been with Boat Rocker since 2007, at which point it was known as Temple Street Productions, as a legal and business affairs exec. She has worked on the company’s production, coproduction and talent deals since, as well as the transformative Boat Rocker deal last year.

Pratte joined Boat Rocker in 2008 and has been director, strategy and business development, for most of his time at the company.

He spearheaded the growth of Boat Rocker’s family and kids division in 2016, including leading the acquisitions of Radical Sheep and Jam Filled Entertainment, and overseeing Jam Filled’s purchase of the principal assets of Arc Productions.

Both of the execs report direct to company CEO John Young. “Sam is without a doubt the most dedicated and trusted executive I’ve ever worked with, and Michel’s passion, knowledge and expertise have been instrumental to our success thus far,” he said.

“Both Sam and Michel consistently deliver results and always look out for the best interests of Boat Rocker.”
