A&E orders scientology series from Holzman’s prodco

A&E has greenlit Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, an ob-doc series in which actress and presenter Remini, speaks to other former church members about their experiences.

The 8x1hr series will be produced by The Intellectual Property Corporation, the prodco set up earlier this year by former All3Media America and Studio Lambert USA exec Eli Holzman.

A&E will launch the series in late November. It will tell the story of Remini and other ex-Scientologists and what happened to them after they left the church and spoke out about their experiences.

“This series is about sharing the truth about Scientology,” Remini said. “For too long, this multi-billion-dollar organisation bullied victims and journalists to prevent the truth being told.

“It is my hope that we shed light on information that makes the world aware of what is really going on and encourages others to speak up so the abuses can be ended forever.”

Holzman and Remini will both be exec producers on the show. Remini’s No Seriously Productions is a coproducer.
