Channel 4 lands Michael Moore’s Trump doc

michael moore in trumplandUK broadcaster Channel 4 has acquired Michael Moore in Trumpland, the new feature doc from the titular filmmaker.

In Trumpland, Fahrenheit 9/11 and Bowling for Columbine filmmaker Moore takes his one-man show, which is broadly anti-Trump, into Ohio, the Republican presidential candidate’s heartland with the stated mission to ‘make America sane again’.

The film is made by Dog Eat Dog Films, Moore’s prodco, and distributed by IMG.

UK pubcaster Channel 4 confirmed it has bought the film and said it will put it out this Saturday (October 29) in an 11pm slot.

The film, which has had a limited theatrical release and is on the Apple iTunes store, has also been acquired by Ten in Australia and SVT in Sweden among others, according to US trade Deadline.
