Rai’s Bastardi located in Cannes

Scripted-logo-460_2Close MurdersThe sales arm of Italian pubcaster Rai has a new slate for MIPCOM that includes a drama about a corrupt police department attempting to make amends.

The Bastards of Pizzofalcone (I Bastardi di Pizzofalcone) is a 6x100mins crime series. It follows the intertwined lives of five new hires at a corrupt police unit of a small town near Naples who attempt to redeem themselves and keep the department open.

There is also a second season of a crime drama about a female homicide detective, Close Murders (Non Uccidere), which runs to twelve 52-minute episodes; and two new episodes from the popular Detective Montalbano procedural franchise.

Away from crime, 20x50mins drama The Ladies’ Paradise (Il Paradiso delle Signore) is set in a miraculous 1950s Milan store that put luxury within the grasp of everyone, and Pio Rocks! is Rai Com’s animated kids series.

Rai Com also has new opera and feature film titles.
