Football Demi Gods scores for Isle of Man distrib

Football Demi GoA distribution company from the Isle of Man is debuting 200 hours of new programming at MIPCOM, including a series from Portuguese football star Deco.

Greenlight International’s slate includes pilot and first instalment of 11x52mins Football Demi Gods (pictured). This follows an agreement with the Brazilian-born Deco, and will show sides of great footballers’s lives and stories rarely seen before.

The UK-based distributor is also launching 13x23mins 4K series Superboat, which debuts on South Korean ultra HD satcaster SkyLife. It uses footage and interviews with owners, crew and designers of spectacular lots.

Greenlight is also debuting Racing Through the Forest, a documentary exploring the history of the Pebble Reach Road Races, which is a well-known amateur motorsport event.

Greenlight International is the sales arm of Greenlight Television, which makes weekly motorsport and motoring programming for platforms such as Al Jazeera, BeIN Sport, ESPN and Sky.

The sales arm launched two years ago to sell this content and distribute third-party programming. Seventy-five-per-cent of the slate is produced on the Isle of Man, off the main island of Britain.
