Federation has Premonitions of market deals

France’s Federation Entertainment has acquired worldwide distribution rights (excluding French-speaking Canada) to new supernatural thriller series Premonitions.

The deal with Canadian prodco Encore Productions hands Federation sales rights to the 10x60mins show, in which the supernatural Jacob family attempt to conceal their abilities and live as regular people after returning to a small town they’d left years before.

It debuted in French-speaking Canada on addikTV, which is part of the TVA Group, itself part of Quebecor Media.

“Premonitions is a brilliant drama that builds on suspense and intrigue with each episode while at the same time offering a touching emotional journey with each member of this ‘gifted and cursed’ family,” said Lionel Uzan, managing director Federation.

“The series has already been a success since it launched on addikTV a few weeks ago and we are truly excited to present it to buyers at the upcoming market.”
