Among the trio launching at MIPCOM, KI will look to find linear and digital buyers for high school comedy Mr. Student Body President. This comes in 10x12mins or 1x120mins formats, and follows a charismatic school body president and his Machiavellian chief od staff, who operate with the ambition and fervor of hardened Washington operatives.
Also included in the deal are sci-fi adventure series MISS 2059 and go90 crime drama series COLD. Both are 10x12mins or 1x120mins.
New Form (aka New Form Digital) launched in April 2014, with backing from Discovery Digital Networks and Imagine Entertainment, the production giant run by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.
“Partnering with Keshet on the international distribution of three of our signature series is a significant step forward for our long-term strategy of creating, producing and distributing high-quality programs that have wide millennial appeal across multiple viewing platforms around the world,” said JC Cangilla, senior VP, business development, New Form.
“Keshet is widely respected in the international market as a leader in discovering entertaining new formats, narratives and talent.”
“New Form has been at the forefront of creating original premium digital content for new OTT players in the US,” said Sebastian Burkhardt, SVP, digital and acquisitions, KI.
“With these three remarkable new series, we now have the unique opportunity to expand their reach beyond the booming US market to both linear TV networks – with reformatted 30- and 60-minutes versions – and OTT services throughout the rest of the world, all of which are keen to reach millennial and youth audiences with quality content.”
