Netflix reveals Naked movie

Netflix has given the greenlight to a feature film starring Marlon Wayans (Scary Movie), based on a Swedish romcom.

Naked will star Wayans as a charming man-child, who wakes up on his wedding day naked in an elevator reliving the hour before the ceremony over and over again.

Director Michael Tiddes is attached, with Wayans, Cory Koller and Rick Alvarez writing the script. Naked will debut in all Netflix territories in 2017.

“The response I’ve gotten from fans worldwide to my films on Netflix has been overwhelming, and I’m thrilled to be working with them on an original film,” said Wayans.

Production is slate to begin in Charleston, South Carolina in October.

Naked is based on Swedish flick Naken.
