Discovery, Nat Geo bag TVF titles

Discovery has bought shows such as War Art with Eddie Redmayne (pictured), Rene Magritte: The Man in the Hat, In Search of Frida Kahlo and My Millennial Life, which is a CBC commission about four twenty-somethings navigating life as members of Generation Y.

Nat Geo’s Hungarian network bought a package of war titles, including PBS one-off Enemy of the Reich, Channel 4’s War Horse: The Real Story, TVNZ’s Nancy Wake: Gestapo’s Most Wanted and History’s The Real Inglorious Bastards.

Other TVFI deals announced today include Planete+ in Poland buying The League of Exotic Dancers, Korea from Above, The Erotic Adventures of Anais Nin, Ultimate Freedive” The Great Barrier Reef, the latest instalment of Journey to Planet Earth, Dispatches from the Gulf and Attenborough’s Wild City: Singapore.

FTV Prima in the Czech Republic acquired 14 Minutes from Earth, Wild Gibraltar and The Whale Whisperer among others. Armenian pubcaster ARMTV and Lithuania’s LRT also took shows.
