MTV ends Teen Wolf

US cable channel MTV will give supernatural drama Teen Wolf another season before ending the show.

A sixth and final season will begin in November, with the series ending with its 100^th episode in 2017. This will comprise 20 episodes.

“Teen Wolf has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could’ve ever imagined,” said showrunner and executive producer Jeff Davis.

The series was based on the 1980s movie of the same name. With the ITV Studios-owned DiGa Vision producing six seasons, it goes in the record books as MTV’s longest-running drama.

Teen Wolf has been a consistent entrant in the TBIVision/Parrot Analytics In-demand charts, which suggests it is a popular drama in Europe.
