He has landed a post as executive producer for News Corp- and Telstra-owned Foxtel Networks, which has moved into original programming through series such as Crimes That Shook Australia.

He has been freelancing and working on individual projects since exiting his last post.

The former Rival Media and December exec will work with production companies and screen talent to develop new shows for Foxtel’s networks arm, which comprises channels such as History, Crime+Investigation, A&E, LifeStyle, SoHo and Fox8. He will also oversee production of existing and new series.

“I’m looking forward to help bring the very best, creatively boundary-pushing, editorially fascinating, ambitiously challenging and stunningly beautiful programmes to our screens,” said Myers.

In December, Myers told TBI he had left his post as head of non-scripted and development at indie December at the end of a one-year contract.

He had joined Hidden Universe producer December after leaving the UK, where he had established and run Power Struggle producer Rival with Steve Wynne, who is now running the television division at London-based Pretzel Films.
