Blue Eyes sparkle for Yes

Scripted-logo-460_2blue eyesIsraeli pay TV platform Yes has bought Scandi political drama Blue Eyes.

The deal, struck with the show’s distributor ZDF Enterprises, gives Yes pay TV and SVOD rights to the series, which originally went out on Swedish pubcaster SVT.

It is the latest Yes-ZDFE deal, following the Israeil platform licensing Cybergeddon and Jack Irish from the Germany-based distributor.

“We are very pleased that we are now able to expand our relations with Yes in Israel,” said Alexander Coridass, president and CEO at ZDFE.

“Yes is the perfect channel for this brilliant series that is thus able to continue its international success.”

Blue Eyes is the latest in a line of Scandi drama hits, selling to Netflix and Channel 4 in the UK among others. Its co-creator, Mia Sohlman, joined Patrick Nebout’s new Sweden-based scripted programming producer Dramacorp last week.
