Who Wants to be a Millionaire bets on Vegas

Formats-logo-460_2110308_0806_millionaire_logoProduction of the US version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire is relocating to Las Vegas where a live show will be filmed.

The quiz show, which is in syndication in the US, will be produced out of the Bally’s hotel and casino complex for the 2016-17 season, which kicks off in September and will be stripped through the week.

The format will remain the same, with multiple choice questions leading to a US$1 million prize with various lifeline on offer along the way.

Chris Harrison, best known for fronting The Bachelor, will host the live show.

Valleycrest Productions will make the series, which is distributed by Disney|ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution.

The format is owned by Sony Pictures Television after it acquired 2waytraffic.
