Rebranded MTG net takes factual from TCB

The recently rebranded MTG World channel has prebought a 10x60mins American Heroes Channel series from distributor TCB Media Rights.

The network, which operates across Europe, was rebranded as Viasat World after exiting the Modern Times Group, and has now acquired history title Inside Secret Societies (pictured) from UK-based TCB.

RMC Découverte in France and Foxtel in Australia have also prebought the show, which comes from Like A Shot Entertainment and looks at the world’s most mysterious societies such as sectarian cults and political militant groups.

Foxtel compatriot SBS has bought The Private Lives of Tudors, which was a 3x60mins UKTV commission for Like A Shot based on a book from Tracy Borman. MTG has prebought it.

Both SBS and Foxtel have acquired The Somme: the First 24 Hours, which was originally for Discovery Channel. Historic Channel, which operates across Russia, the CIS region and the Baltics, alsobought it. Again, Like A Shot was the producer.
