The Viasat World bouquet comprises 27 pay TV channels across 47 territories.
The channels group was a subsidiary of Sweden-listed broadcaster Modern Times Group before being sold late last year for US$45.5 million amid regulatory changes that forced MTG to offload some assets.
Russian company Sinerdzhi acquired the Russian channels business while Sabiero Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of private equity firm Baring Vostok, bought the international channels business.
The Viasat World group covers factual and entertainment channels as well as sport and e-sports offerings. Channel brands include Viasat Explore, Viasat Nature, Viasat History and TV1000. The company is based in London.
