FSC reels in Rod

Rod & ReelDanish distributor The Funny Shorts Company is taking the first season of a professional sport fishing series to Cannes.

FSC Media is debuting Rod & Reel, which runs to 26 half-hours, at MIPTV.

“From the Large Mouth Bass to the Red Snapper, this series takes you on an adventure to the world of professional Sport Fishing in Mexico,” said Mads Dirckinck-Holmfeld.

Rod & Reel follows fishing expert Pedro Sors, who explains the passions, discipline and state-of-the-art techniques used in big game and leisure fishing.

Rod & Reel has run in Latin America for a number of years.

“Working with Pedro gives us an instant access to a goldmine of expertise within professional sports fishing,” said Dirckinck-Holmfeld.

The shows comes after MSC moved into lifestyle factual programming last year with Hunters Magazine.
