The deal with producer Outfit7 Media lasts for three years, and will see MoMedia distributing electronic sell-through and SVOD rights to platforms such as Netflix, iTunes and Amazon Prime Instant Video.

The 52x11mins Talking Tom is based on the Talking Tom apps, which has been downloaded a cumulative 3.3 billion times.

Talking Tom was the first series featured on YouTube Kids when it launched earlier this year. UK-based Jetpack Distribution handles linear broadcast deals for the show.

Talking Tom is generating a massive audience and this plays to our strengths in taking another great brand from YouTube and expanding its reach to other audiences,” said MoMedia CEO Lucas Bertrand.

“We believe the partnership will enable us to grow our reach across a diversified bouquet of digital platforms, allowing us to deliver the popular Talking Tom and Friends animated series to more family audiences, creating more fun for everyone,” said Outfit7’s managing director, Korea, and VP, commercial operations, Asia, Cindy Sung Eun Um.
