Loud, Frantic form strategic pact

Formats-logo-460_2Leftfield Entertainment’s Loud TV and Canadian prodco Frantic Films have struck a strategic programming partnership for the North American markets.

The pair will develop and produce programming together. New York-based Loud, which is ultimately part of the UK’s ITV, will lead operations in the US, with Toronto’s Frantic spearheading Canadian sales.

Loud is behind series such as FYI’s Tiny House Nation and Food Porn, while Frantic is currently producing season two of CBC’s comedy Still Standing.

“Having produced programming for a worldwide audience, in genres as varied as factual, docu-reality and comedy, this is a great opportunity for Frantic Films to mine new and creative arenas,” said Frantic CEO Jamie Brown.

“Together, we have an opportunity to elevate lifestyle programming as we continue to explore fascinating people, cultures and experiences,” added Loud founder and president Nick Rigg.
