Scripted-logo-460_2LimitlessTVA owner Quebecor Content has acquired high-concept CBS procedural Limitless.

The CBS Television Studios-, K/O Paper Products- and Critical Content (fka Relativity Television)- produced show will air on Quebec network TVA and SVOD platform Club illico, beginning on a currently undefined date.

The show has been a major new season ratings hit for US broadcaster CBS, whose sister distribution arm, CBS Studios International, shops it globally.

Quebecor Content’s VP, acquisitions and partnerships, Yann Paquet, said Limitless, which follows a man roped into helping the FBI when he begins taking a drug that gives hum super-human strength and cognitive abilities, was “different, modern, and brilliantly creative”.

“The successful combination of intrigues, investigation, action and humour makes this series unique. We are confident our French Canadian viewers will enjoy following it on all our platforms,” he added.

Limitless, based on the 2011 Bradley Cooper movie of the same name, has previously sold into territories such as Fox TV in Sweden, RTL CBS Entertainment in Asia, and Global in Canada.
