Bo Stehmeier leaves Factory for Red Arrow

Bo Stehmeier has joined Red Arrow’s distribution arm as senior VP of global sales.

The distribution exec joins from producer and distributor Factory, which he had joined last year after an eight-year stint in charge of sales at Amsterdam-based Off the Fence.

Stehmeier will lead the German, US and Hong Kong-based sales teams at Red Arrow International in the newly-created role.

He will be based in Munich and report to managing director Henrik Pabst, who said: “Red Arrow has grown considerably in the last 18 months with a continued expansion of our catalog and growing portfolio of in-house production companies. Bo’s commercial skills, industry experience, passion and personality will help us to capitalise on what we have achieved so far, and greatly evolve and expand in the coming months and years”.

Prior to Off the Fence, he was at Optomen and Bullseye. He said today: “Red Arrow International has been on my radar for a long time, so I am thrilled to be joining Henrik and the team. The extraordinary changes and challenges we are seeing in TV production and distribution demand creativity and commercial foresight, and I am proud to be joining a group that has both of those elements in their corporate DNA.”

When Stehmeier joined Factory the company said it wanted to drive a new-look international strategy and build up its distribution capability. Another Off the Fence colleague, Georgie Eyre, joined him at Factory late last year. It wasn’t clear this morning if he would be replaced at the UK and Germany-based company.
