AMC drama series Into the Badlands has been acquired by LeTV in China.
The post-apocalyptic action series, which recently launched on US cable net AMC, is distributed by eOne, which struck the China deal.
The series, which is based on classic Chinese story Journey to the West, will bow on streaming service LeTV in 2016.
The deal was brokered by Tegan Shi, sales director, eOne Television International, who works in the company’s new Hong Kong office.
Ben Bishop, sales director Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India, eOne Films Australia and Television International, said: “We’re delighted to partner with LeTV, one of the largest online platforms in China, to bring this blockbuster series to the Chinese audience.”
