Pernel plans Fridge format push after NT1 deal

France’s Pernel Media plans to push scripted comedy format My Fridge Told Me after selling more episodes to local digital terrestrial channel NT1.

A 30x2mins commission represents a fifth season of the show on TF1-owned free TV channel NT1, and means the programme totals 90 episodes on French television.

Pernel owns the format rights, and company president Samuel Kissous claimed that “it’s such a unique, scripted format that it is perfect for international adaptation”.

The format is shot from the point of view of a fridge that documents everyday life of two flatmates in a shared apartment. In France it is know as Mon Frigo m’a Dit and broadcasts across the schedule, often as lead-in for primetime shows.
