Hulu secures British poltergeist drama

US streaming service Hulu has bought British poltergeist drama The Enfield Haunting.

The show, a ratings hit for UK pay TV channel Sky Living, became available to Hulu’s free and pay customers yesterday.

Basic cable channel A&E has already picked up linear US rights to the three-part miniseries, which comes from Eleven Film and is sold internationally by Entertainment One Television.

eOne’s director of US and Latin American sales Joey Sabella brokered the Hulu deal.

Adapted from Guy Lyon Playfair’s book This House is Haunted, the drama follows the story of the most-documented account of poltergeist activity in British history, centring on a suburban London house where a series of terrifying incidents occurred.
