BBC launching online talkshow

The BBC is due to launch a weekly, iPlayer-focused talkshow on its online catch-up service next month, fronted by comedian Frank Skinner.

The series, titled Frank Skinner On Demand With…, will feature a different celebrity guest each week who will discuss the programmes they are enjoying on the BBC iPlayer – “from hidden gems to guilty pleasures”.

The BBC said the show aims to showcase “the breadth and variety of content available on BBC iPlayer in a given week”, and cover all genres including documentaries, comedy, film, food and music and arts, with a particular focus on titles beyond the “big hitters”.

Each week Skinner will meet his guest at a location where they regularly watch BBC iPlayer – such as on a tour bus, in a make-up chair, or in their garden on a sun lounger.
