Shine TV chief to exit

Hunted---UK---S1.jpgShine TV managing director Kelly Webb-Lamb is leaving the Endemol Shine Group production company at the end of the year.

Webb-Lamb joined Shine TV as creative director in 2012 and rose to MD the following year. She will work with senior management on a transition before exiting.

Endemol Shine’s British arm, Endemol Shine UK, will announce new Shine TV leadership “in due course”.

The exit is the latest from Endemol Shine UK this year, coming after the departures of chief creative officer David Flynn and Remarkable Television’s Collete Foster in April, Jane Featherstone from Kudos, Princess Productions boss Henrietta Conrad, group chairman Lucas Church, and more recently executive producer Oliver Wright.

Highlights of Webb-Lamb’s run as Shine TV chief include The Island with Bear Grylls and Hunted for broadcaster Channel 4, BBC One’s All Change at Longleat and Council House Crackdown and The Force: Manchester for Sky 1.

“I joined Shine TV with the ambition of defining the company as creators of brilliant popular factual television through impactful, standout shows,” said Webb-Lamb. “I am hugely proud of what has been achieved, with a healthy slate including award-winning returning formats, a development pipeline with huge promise and a truly exceptional team in place to take this forward, so I believe I can now leave this on a high and take a break before seeing what the future holds.”

Endemol Shine UK CEO Richard Johnson said Webb-Lamb left Shine TV “in formidable shape to be taken forward by new leadership next year”.

“We will all take the time over the next few months to explore who and what form this could best take. In the meantime we wish Kelly the very best for whichever challenge she chooses to undertake next.”

Webb-Lamb joined Shine TV after leaving her previous role as director of factual programmes at Princess, where she had been executive producer on shows including Sky 1’s Got to Dance.
