Mediaset, Comarex ink distribution deal

Italian media giant Mediaset and Mexico-based distributor Comarex have widened the scope of a programme sales deal.

The pair already work together on distribution, with Comarex, the sales arm of Mexican broadcaster Azteca, having represented Mediaset programming in Latin America for over a decade.

Under the terms of a new content sales deal, Comarex will now also sell Mediaset fare throughout Asia and Africa.

Within the terms of a new distribution agreement Mediaset has granted Comarex to continue to represent Mediaset’s catalogue in Latin America. Additionally it has included exclusive distribution rights for its full programming portfolio for Asia and Africa.

The deal will see Comarex shop Mediaset series including Antimafia Squad and Camorra Connection around the world.
