Sonar explores Full House with telemovie slate

Sonar Entertainment has acquired nine two-hour telemovies from US cable channels for international distribution, including looking into the story behind classic US sitcom Full House.

The Unauthorized Full House Story stars Garrtt Brawith (Diary of a Serial Killer) and Justin Mader (Death Race) and is executive produced by Stephen Bulka and Juliet Smith.

Interest in the show has been piqued since Netflix commissioned a reboot of the ABC sitcom, Fuller House.

The rest of Sonar’s new telemovies comprise Charming Christmas, Christmas Confessions, Family for Christmas, Hello It’s Me, The Hollow, Lead with Your Heart, The Reckoning and Sealed with a Kiss.

Last week, Sonar CEO Gene Stein exited to take over a rebranded Gaumont Television group, with Thomas Lesinski becoming interim chief executive as a result.
