All3 poaches Endemol Shine legal chief

All3Media has poached the senior legal director of rival content giant Endemol Shine Group.

Donall Crehan is to become UK-based All3’s general counsel in October, having oversee the integration of the Endemol Shine Group following the merger of Endemol and Shine Group.

Before that he was head of legal at Shine, having joined from media law firm Olswang in early 2012.

In the new role at Discovery Communications- and Liberty Global-owned All3, he will provide legal counsel for the central All3 operations and its 21 subsidiaries.

He will report directly to All3’s new COO, Sara Geater, who took up her post in later April after leaving FremantleMedia the year before.

“As the All3Media business continues to grow we will undoubtedly benefit from Dónall’s expertise, talent, experience and guidance on all legal matters,” said Geater.

The news comes in the same week All3’a US arm, All3Media America, launched Commonwealth Unscripted, a production company that Undercover Boss showrunner Chris Carlson will run.
