US cable net Fuse relaunching

US cable channel Fuse is relaunching at the end of September with a new look and new programming line-up.

The new-look Fuse starts on September 30 and will target a millennial demographic of ‘New Young Americans’, according to Fuse Media president Bill Hilary.

He said: “In order to reach the multicultural, Millennial audience of trendsetters and influencers that we are calling ‘New Young Americans,’ we need to deliver programming that is diverse, sexy, honest and edgy.

“While this [new] line-up is just the beginning, we are excited to be presenting new and returning series that will fuel our viewers’ passions and broaden their experiences, as we broaden our brand beyond music and into new areas.”

The roster of new shows includes World of Wonder-produced Transcendent, a reality series about transsexual caberet dancers in San Francisco, Skee TV, a talkshow hosted by DJ Skee.

From Relativity, the prodco that has just entered bankruptcy protection, there is Saturday Morning Fever, a reality show going behind the scenes at local TV dance show Dancin’ On Air.

There is also a programming deal with comedian Gabriel Iglesias and there will be a behind the scenes show following him on tour, The Fluffy Movie. There will also be another reality show featuring the comedian and his friends, Fluffy Breaks Even.
