Global Screen lands Capital Power

Global Screen has landed international rights to Capital Power, the upcoming high-end political thriller.

The German-language series is being produced by Studio Hamburg prodco Real Film Berlin and will debut on German pubcaster ARD.

The six-part series will follow Susanne Kröhmer, an attorney who gets involved in politics and mounts a campaign to become mayor of Berlin.

As the campaign progresses, it becomes increasingly dirty and underhand forcing Kröhmer to make tough choices.

Global Screen will sell the show outside Germany and launch it internationally later this year.

Germany is an emerging force in international drama with projects including Deutschland 83 and Generation War selling well globally.
