For truTV, which launched in the UK in August 2014, the acquisition of Skin Wars follows on from that of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, which has London-based Passion also sells.
The competitive body painting hour-long series runs to ten episodes hosted by actress Rebecca Romjin. Multishow in Brazil and Cineplex Company in Thailand are other recent buyers.
Season one of Skin Wars was the highest-rated finale in US cable channel GSN’s history. Season two launched on June 10 up 68% of the season one launch.
