Geography, play-along for CBeebies

UK preschool channel CBeebies has commissioned a show based on world geography and a play-along sketch show.

Go Jetters is a 52x11mins animated comedy series that brings together accessible geography concepts with relatable stories, while 26x14mins Spot Bots is billed as a series of funny live-action sketches that each contain games for viewers to play along to at home. Among its cast is Mr Bloom’s Nursery star Ben Faulks.

“I’m always looking to bring something new, fresh and dynamic to the channel and I think Go Jetters and Spot Bots do exactly that,” said CBeebies controller Kay Benbow (pictured).

Go Jetters is a coproduction of CBeebies In-house Production and BBC Worldwide for its international CBeebies channels. Tony Reed excutive produces for the UK channel, with Henrietta Hurford-Jones doing the same for the BBC’s commercial arm.

BBCWW is also investing 20% of the budget to Spot Bots, with Vanessa Amberleigh exec-producing.

Go Jetters will launch this autumn, with Spot Bots following in 2016.
