Telemundo ups programming execs

US Hispanic broadcaster Telemundo has promoted two of its programming team.

Glenda Pacanins has been elevated to senior VP, programming & content and Leonor Sotillo to senior VP, programming strategy at the NBCUniversal-owned company.

Both roles are newly-created. Former Univision exec Pacanins will be responsible for content analysis and will develop new programming strategies. Former telenovela producer Sotillo will oversee strategic programming analysis, development and planning.

The execs will continue to report to Jesus Torres Viera, executive VP, programming and content.

“Glenda and Leonor have been key assets to our network programming leadership team bringing extensive knowledge of strategic planning and content development,” Viera said. “We look forward to the insight they will provide and the contributions they will make moving forward in their new roles.”
