The Sony Pictures Television-produced superhero drama will launch next year after what Sony Computer Entertainment America’s John Koller described as an “incredible” reaction to the first run.
“We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as we broaden the value proposition for [subscription service] PlayStation Plus, and we’re excited for what’s to come with season two of Powers,” said Koller, SCEA’s VP, platforms marketing.
Powers, inspired by comics of the same name and from Brian Michael Bendis, currently plays on the Playstation Network via the Playstation Store, available to all Playstation Plus subs.
Jinxworld and Circle of Confusion produce the show, with SPT attached as the studio.
